Q: What is Flyover Comedy Festival?
A: Flyover Comedy Festival is a three-day comedy invasion of Saint Louis featuring a mix of stand-up, improv, sketch and variety shows.
Q: Where does Flyover Comedy Festival take place?
A: Flyover Comedy Festival will take place at various venues in St. Louis’ Grove entertainment district from Nov 14 - 16, 2024. Keep an eye on our events listing page to see which shows are happening where.
Q: When do festival passes and/or tickets go on sale?
A: Festival wristbands will go on sale following headliner announcements in Summer 2024. We will offer 3-day wristbands for access to all shows. Tickets to each show will also be available for purchase and will go on sale immediately after our full lineup announcement.
Q: How do I purchase festival passes and tickets?
A: All links to purchase passes and tickets will be on our website.
Q: Do you offer a student discount?
A: We believe that children are our future. Our debt-ridden future. Each of our tickets and festival passes is available at student prices. Check with your school to see if it is offering any special discount passes to the fest. Please note that some shows are 21+.
Q: I ordered passes or tickets online. How do I get them?
A: 3-day festival wristbands will be available at will-call at the door or box office of every ticketed Flyover Comedy Festival event.
All tickets will be delivered electronically via email receipt. Regardless, your name will be on a list at the door of the show. Unless they are sold out, tickets to each show will also be available for purchase at the door.
Q: Are tickets and passes general admission or are there assigned seats?
A: Festival seating is general admission. People will be seated on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space at some shows may be limited. Please get to your desired show early for the best seat selection.
Q: Is there an age requirement for festival shows?
A: This really depends on the venue or the act. Most shows will be 18+, but all shows at Bootleg at Atomic Cowboy are 21+. Those will be noted on the Flyover website listing for the particular shows. But keep in mind that some of the material might not be suitable for young ears.
Q: Will there be food and drinks for sale at the shows?
A: Drinks, yes. Food, depends on the venue. The Improv Shop and Urban Chestnut both have excellent food menus. That said, the Grove features several restaurants, so you don’t have to go too far to get great food.
Q: How long do the shows last?
A: Some shows are longer than others, but we’re trying to cap run times at 75 minutes so you can get the most out of your festival pass.
Q: Do you need volunteers for the festival?
A: Oh my yes! Volunteers will receive access to shows, a free t-shirt, plus food and drink tickets for their efforts. Please contact us at info@flyovercomedyfest.com for more information.
Q: Are the venues handicapped accessible?
A: Yes, most all are handicapped accessible, but check with each venue before attending specific shows to ensure there are no "surprise" steps or small staircases upon arrival.
Q: May I take photos or video of the festival?
A: Non-flash photography is allowed. Flash photography and video will require permission and a release from festival officials. We will issue media passes to any interested outlets that wish to cover the festival. Any unauthorized photos or videos could be grounds for removal. Q: I’m a comedian. Do you have any stage time for me at the festival?
A: The festival will have booked headliners and shows along with comics chosen through our submission process. That said, if you can show up to the Flyover Comedy Festival open mic early enough, you may be able to perform.
Q: When will submissions begin?
A: Submissions for the 2024 festival are open now and close June 1, 2024.
Q: I cannot use my ticket or passes. Can I get a refund?
A: We will offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you have a ticket or pass you cannot use, please email us at info@flyovercomedyfest.com to let us know why.
Q: I want to keep up with what is happening at the festival. How can I do that?
A: Follow us on Facebook and Instagram. This is where we’ll also make any announcements about headliners and acts. Please, follow us during the festival for announcements about after parties, giveaways, and special events.
